SOUTH BURNETT DISTRICT BRANCH
The South Burnett Branch was formed at a public meeting held at the BP Dam Murgon in November 1997, The First executive was President W Cockburn O A M Vice President Bill Ross and Secretary/Treasurer was R Nash. The branch has a fairly static membership, The branch held the State Conference at Murgon in the year 2000 to usher in the Presidency of Colin Bell and in the year 2009 the Branch again held the State Conference to usher in the Presidency of currant President Bill Morriss. Members of the Branch have attended every State Conference delegates and general meetings that the State Branch has held. The Branch AGM for 2010 was held in the Kingaroy RSL club on 16 March and the Executive is W Cockburn O A M President B Ross and K Bellotti Vice Presidents Marie Hooper Secretary Assistant Secretary B Holznagel J Kingston Treasurer Assistant Treasurer E Kingston B Hobbs and T Sanderson Committee C Humphrys is the Merchandise Officer Warren and Bill are the welfare officers and Mrs Dorothy Pratt is the Patron of the Branch. We have erected a Memorial Stone in a park in Nanango that the former Nanango Shire Council named the National Servicemen's Memorial Park .The Branch has arranged a bus to travel to Canberra for the dedication of the National Memorial in September and all members that are booked on the trip are looking forward to it..
